Enter the Z8
She arrived without fanfare at the door. Everyone was drawn to her.
Fixers came to look at her- without touching, or even breathing on the car.

The Z8 gets a little comfortable with the Fixers and starts to show off her stuff, like these groovy blue-eyed headlamps

"C'mon", she says in her siren voice, "look under my hood....
I even have little lights under my hood so you can see my engine better..."

You'd have to strap us to the mast to stop us from looking.

Web's inside programming the BMW phone into the console of the Z8. When I told Horst he about it, he said my Traffic Pro would do the same. I will work on it.
This is the first time I have seen how the GPS looks in the Z8. Doctor Joe let some of the Fixers sit in his Z8, and of course, it was hog heaven!

Click on this pic of the interior console to download a huge image (315K) of the console with the GPS unit and controls.
It's like having it in front of you.
The owner of this car gave us unprecedented unscheduled access, just getting sucked up in the Fixit Fun. Thank you Doctor Joe, your car is utterly gorgeous!

Kathy makes off with the Z3 pedal car AGAIN!
She won it last year too!

I had an oil/filter change, thermostat recall performed and the front air dam painted.
My tech was William. Incredible attention to detail--he found a problem when checking the tire pressure.
It was caused by a little nail.
If something like that is going to happen--where better to find out?

As usual, everyone was wonderful! Thank you Rachel for putting it all together.
Kathy offers her recipe:
I am a cook who doesn't
really measure.
 It's "adapted" from a recipe I saw
in Bon Appetite Magazine many years ago.

Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

3 cups sugar 6 lg eggs
2 sticks butter 1 cup sour cream
3 cups flour 1 tablespoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon baking powder 12 oz bag choc chips

Cream together butter and sugar.
Add flour and baking powder.
Mix in eggs,
then sour cream and vanilla.

Pam a large bundt pan-
add batter in 1/3s, layering in chocolate chips.
Run a knife through to "mix" in chocolate chips.
Bake in 350 oven for an hour
and 20 minutes.
