 TROOP SHIRTS Site update in progress June29, 2004 WELCOME TROOPS! :) I hope to put some more cool stuff on this page, but until then, it's just a page to tell you how to contact us so we can get some shirts out to you- and if there's anything else you'd like, please let us know! If it doesn't, the email address is FDNYloves theTROOPS@z3ers.com, please put "TROOPSHIRTS" in the Subject line so I can sort it out from the SPAM :) You have to know if you ever have doubts about who supports you that every one of the 8000+ FDNY active duty firefighters and every one of the retired New York Firefighters, and every one of their family members, and every first responder who came to the World Trade Center on 9/11- and despite what you see on the media just about every New Yorker and for that matter everyone in the USA and every decent free-thinking person in the world supports you 1000%, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We just don't have any snappy slogans or pre-fabricated signs, we have no way to "demonstrate" support because the security that keeps you safer from the bad guys also keeps you out of reach of the regular people who support you. So we have this site and we have email and the Internet to reach you. We are pretty clever at sneaking through the fences to get to you eh? ;) Even the "protesters" think they are doing something for you because they are worried about your safety. We know we have our freedom because of your sacrifices, we are amazed by you. The FDNY firefighters show their support for you on every firetruck, in every firehouse. They know why you are there. You are the heroes of the heroes of 9/11. We stand in awe of you. We have sent the very best against the very worst. We LOVE you and we pray for your safety and success- and hope you will soon return home. We know that even if the WMD are not found that your being there is keeping the bad guys so busy that it makes it harder for them to attack us here. They may still attack us, and our firefighters and first responders and civilians, in NYC and everywhere in the world where terror strikes will be there to help at home and will always be grateful that you went to war to help us. Remember the people on flight 93, they wore no uniforms, they had no training, no preparation. In a matter of minutes they saw the face of the enemy and became warriors. They were the first warriors of this war. The first responders could only help the wounded and find the dead. You are the only ones who can help stop another attack and hunt down the killers. You are our only hope. Scratch the surface of every freedom-loving person and you will find a warrior. We are you and you are us, we miss you, we love you and most of all: WE SUPPORT YOU. |
